Plural Research Collective

Join; Collaborate

This group is composed of people with lived experience of multiplicity (having ‘more than one’ sense of self, agent, entity, or consciousness within one body) who are involved with the creation of academic research. Such a description applies to a range of people, including, but not limited to:

  • Professors, Lecturers, and Research Associates
  • Post-doctoral researchers
  • Clinicians conducting research
  • Graduate students and graduate research assistants
  • Undergraduate students interested in pursuing research after graduation
  • Folks who are on a medical leave of absence or who did not finish their program, who either plan to return to their program or are otherwise still interested in contributing to research
  • People who may not have engaged with higher education, yet have published (or are looking to/in the process of publishing) in an academic journal
  • Independent researchers, such as Ansa; http://www.ansa.io/independent-research

This group is interdisciplinary, with members’ areas of interest spanning:

  • Psychology
  • Clinical Psychology
  • Neuroscience
  • Anthropology
  • Sociology
  • Functional Neuroimaging
  • Computational Psychology
  • Epidemiology
  • Healthcare Experiences
  • Phenomenology
  • Philosophy
  • Linguistics
  • History
  • Middle Eastern Studies
  • Queer Studies
  • Gender Studies
  • Disability Studies
  • Neurodiversity Studies
  • Furries, Otherkin, and Non-Human experiences
  • …. And more!

We also have a few folks working in areas unrelated to plurality (biology, geochemistry) or in non-academic careers (engineering, computer science, and IT).

The group has over 50 members, and is continuously growing. If you are plural or otherwise have lived experience with multiplicity, and fit the description of ‘involved with academic research,’ consider joining the group!

Singlet (non-plural) Researcher Collaboration

Are you someone who is not plural, but would like to collaborate with plurals in academics? While our large group meetings are only for folks with lived experience, we are able to set up a focus group to discuss a project or potential collaboration of yours, and connect you with folks who are interested in advising or working with you.
